My essay on our Perry Sandhills experience.
A Sunraysia experience…
Thirty kms from Mildura, in the quiet town of Wentworth, lies the meeting point of the Darling and Murray rivers. Our first adventure was to explore the wildlife “island” adjacent to the meeting point; many Australian pelicans bobbed by in the placid waters.

There were red gum trees along the shore and the only noise heard was the wind, the cry of the native birds…and the squishing of our shoes in the muddy clay.
Pozn.: Kromě toho větru a ptáků byla dost často slyšet J.M., protože ta tu pusu nikdy nezavře!:)

Next, we headed off to the Perry Sandhills…a veritable desert surrounded by green shrubs. The wind whipped by, tossing our hair this way and that. Keeping one’s eyes open while the sand whipped by was a real challenge.

After emptying the sand out of our boots and shaking it out of our hair, we headed back into town and drank a delicious latte amidst beautiful artwork in the Art Gallergy café. Another wonderful day spent with two unbelievable people, Ondrej and Eva!!!
